We believe great products come from real-world testing and honest craftsmanship — and whether you're behind the build or behind the scenes, everyone here plays a part in getting people out the door and onto the road. The Role We're looking for a hands-on Facilities Supervisor to keep Geotrek's facilities safe, functional, and production-ready. This isn't a role where you coordinate someone else to fix things — you'll troubleshoot and complete repairs yourself (installing security cameras, replacing an outlet, repairing a door, putting up racking) while knowing when to bring in a licensed contractor for work that calls for one. You'll own day-to-day maintenance, preventative maintenance, facility projects, vendor relationships, and workplace safety across our Boulder-area sites, and you'll also help guide the Facilities Coordinator as we build consistent facility and safety processes across our locations. What You'll Do
- Handle day-to-day maintenance and repairs — basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building upkeep — and bring in licensed contractors when work calls for one
- Install and maintain security cameras, access-control equipment, shelving, racking, and signage, and support equipment moves and shop layout changes
- Build and run preventative maintenance schedules, catching issues on regular facility walk-throughs before they affect production
- Own facility improvement projects from planning through completion, including new setups, moves, and expansions
- Manage day-to-day workplace safety administration — SDS binder, safety equipment and PPE stock, safety inspections, and training records
- Manage facility vendors and contractors, deciding what's handled in-house versus outsourced, and oversee contractor work on-site
- Help prioritize the Facilities Coordinator's work and serve as the main point of contact for landlords and property managers What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and fix problems independently
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Experience managing facility projects, vendors, or contractors is a plus; basic knowledge of workplace safety and OSHA requirements is a plus
- Organized, with the ability to balance maintenance work, projects, and safety responsibilities as priorities shift
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with willingness to travel regularly between Boulder-area Geotrek locations Work Environment & Physical Demands Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act.
This role moves across manufacturing, warehouse, office, and outdoor environments, with occasional work in mechanical rooms or other tight spaces typical of building-systems work. Expect regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing, frequent precise hand use for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and repair work, and regular lifting and carrying of tools, supplies, and materials generally up to 50 lbs (heavier loads call for a dolly, hand truck, or a second person). You'll safely use ladders for maintenance and inspections, with some tasks requiring fall protection for rooftop or elevated work, and you'll regularly drive between Geotrek locations, so a valid license and safe driving record are required. Safety responsibilities include following lockout/tagout and electrical-safety practices, using task-appropriate PPE, and following hazard-communication procedures around chemicals and cleaning materials, consistent with OSHA general industry standards.
