A strategic and operational leader with end-to-end responsibility for engineering and facilities operations. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage large portfolios, and deliver client-focused outcomes across corporate real estate environments. Ownership of programs, SLA/KPI delivery, budget and governance. Onsite Job Location - Hartford, CT What You'll Do:
Strong SME experience with Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing Prior and recent experience working with District Energy Systems for Steam and Chiller Water Collaboration and Team BuildingExperience Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Drive efficient and effective strategic operations. This includes revenue growth and profitability, new business development, etc. Prior track record leading purchase programs forderegulated utilities Experience writing bid specification andnegotiating contracts for Cleaning, Roofing, HVAC, Electrical and otherbuilding infrastructure components Microsoft Office experience particularly with Power Point Strong experience working with on-line CMMS systems and integrating AI into work order and PM management Review departmental financial evaluations, including monthly revenue and expense projections. Make recommendations based on the data presented. Assess project needs and obtain resources from multiple departments. Develop training programs making sure standards are met. Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across the business. Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE
values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy. Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions. Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking. Travel expected 10% What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.
