Full Job Description Fleet Facility Manager Summary:

As a Fleet Facility Manager you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of fleet assets and the day-to-day management of a local facility. The salary range is $97,000.00 - $150,000.00.

Manage day-to-day fleet operations including maintenance, repairs, asset tracking, and equipment utilization to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations Supervise, coach, and lead shop and field technicians, ensuring productivity, quality of work, and adherence to safety standards Plan, prioritize, and adjust work schedules to meet operational demands and minimize equipment downtime Oversee and enforce preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability Coordinate equipment movement between jobs, facilities, and vendors to support operational needs Monitor compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies, promoting a safety-first culture Assist with diagnostics, complex repairs, and maintenance activities during peak workloads Evaluate and outsource repairs based on capacity, complexity, or location; review vendor quotes for accuracy and cost-effectiveness, approving within authority and escalating as required Track and actively manage down units, ensuring timely repair and return to service Support payroll review for team members to ensure accuracy and timely submission Provide regular updates and basic reporting to fleet and operations leadership Serve as the primary point of contact for facility operations, maintenance, and vendor coordination Coordinate building maintenance and repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure a safe and functional work environment Maintain adequate inventory of shop and building supplies to support uninterrupted operations
Education, Skills, Experience Needed:
An Associate Degree in Fleet Management or equivalent combination of education and experience required 5 years of progressive experience in Fleet/Shop Management Electrical utility or related industry experience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, and similar equipment a plus Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Forklift Cert (or ability to obtain) Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple workstreams (repairs, PMs, facility needs) in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of fleet maintenance practices, shop operations, and basic mechanical & electrical troubleshooting Ability to evaluate repair options (in-house vs. outsourced) and make sound, cost-effective decisions Strong organizational skills with the ability to track equipment status, manage down units, and ensure timely turnaround Solid understanding of safety practices, DOT/OSHA compliance, and risk mitigation in fleet and facility environments Ability to manage vendor relationships, review quotes, and ensure quality and cost control of services Basic budgeting and cost management awareness, including invoice review and identification of savings opportunities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with fleet management systems, telematics platforms, and fuel card systems preferred This job description is subject to change at any time.
