Nemours is seeking a Facilities Plant Operation Manager to join our team in Wilmington, DE. Responsible for the daily operations and efficiency at NCHDE, overseeing facilities specialty trades (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Central Power Plant) and maintenance personnel. This role assists the Director of Facilities in providing daily work orders related to the facilities department, maintains and updates all documentation related to Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance program for the Joint Commission, DOH and other applicable regulatory bodies. Assists the DoF in managing department budgets, assists in preparing and coordinating all capital equipment/projects. Essential Functions Effectively manage maintenance programs and MEP trades at NCHDE Campus. Ensure buildings and property are maintained in a manner designed to provide for the physical comfort of security of patients, visitors and associates. Assist Director of Facilities in the management of the Facilities Department. Supports the Director and others in the preparation and review of capital and non-capital budgets for projects and equipment purchases and installations. Supports the Facilities Director in the creation and development of 5 year capital plan. Supports implementation of Facilities Operational Budget, Facilities Capital Budget and Strategic Capital Projects at NCHDE including, but not limited to, NCHDE Strategic Infrastructure Upgrades. Evaluate and recommend, in coordination with Strategic Sourcing, facility contracts related to the operation and maintenance of the facility and grounds as NCHDE. Create and implement reliable methods for facility mechanical and building operating systems. Effectively train Facility Staff and consistently hold Facility Staff accountable for performance to establish expectations, standard operating procedures and reliable methods. Ensure compliance including documentation with agency and accrediting agencies and relevant Life Safety Code, OSHA Regulations, TJC, CMS and relevant State Department of Health facility requirements. Develop, monitor and achieve energy management program to ensure compliance with State and Federal requirements. Ensure energy management stewardship. Represents Facilities by supporting Design and Construction Management team and Capital Planning and Real Estate team project application, execution and MEP support and coordination. Provides career path development and succession planning for critical utility MEP trades.
