Facilities Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems. All work must adhere to safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Additionally, the role involves performing maintenance on building equipment such as air compressors, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. Responsibilities Diagnose and perform preventive maintenance and repairs on powered industrial equipment and conveyor systems. Ensure all work adheres to safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on building equipment like air compressors, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems. Inspect and ensure maintenance tasks performed by others are completed accurately and timely. Communicate regularly with Facilities Manager and Operations leaders/team members about repair work status and operational impacts. Facilitate clear shift handoffs and smooth transition of work to the next shift. Lead and perform project work to support daily warehouse operations; coordinate work of others as necessary. Coordinate repairs and maintenance with third-party vendors. Train maintenance team members as needed. Maintain CMMS, work orders, and inventory management. Complete other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical, facilities maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. Strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills. Experience with conveyor systems and powered industrial equipment. Ability to use hand tools effectively.
