Job Summary The Oaks of Clearwater is a 15 story senior living community, located near the water. Residents enjoy the beautiful and relaxed view of Clearwater along with the marine activities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director of to oversee our organization's operational processes and ensure efficiency and effectiveness across all departments. The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Operations includes planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Central Services Departments for the buildings, grounds and equipment. These responsibilities must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing The Oaks of Clearwater and as directed by the Executive Director, to assure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities. Primary duties include managing the Maintenance Department, Housekeeping Department and Security Department of the building with at least 50% of the time performing exempt work. Planning and controlling the budget of the central services departments, employee hiring, counseling and termination and monitoring legal compliance measures within the departments. Duties Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Oversee daily operations, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team to achieve departmental goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining a safe work environment. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and best practices within the team. Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIRED
In the interest of residents/patients, Plant Operations Directors will have the preferred minimum educational background of having a high school diploma or GED equivalency & HVAC experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Employees will be licensed in accordance with current applicable standards, codes and labor laws. A preference that the employee holds a license in air conditioning, heating or two of the technical trades with related courses in electrical and plumbing. Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably at a senior level. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to make data-driven decisions. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in project management tools and software; familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
