Job Summary As a Facility Maintenance Coordinator, you are the trusted, hands-on expert who ensures our offices are safe, efficient, and welcoming. In this role, you'll have ownership for resolving day-to-day facility issues—whether it's preparing workstations, troubleshooting equipment, or coordinating provider services. Your work directly enhances the employee experience and keeps our facilities operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Job Description Key Responsibilities Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify and resolve issues related to lighting, cleanliness, temperature, and functionality Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb replacement, AV resets, furniture adjustments) Coordinate and inspect preventative maintenance activities with external service providers Respond promptly and professionally to equipment and system issues Open, update, and close maintenance tickets with clear documentation Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Facilities Supervisor or appropriate service providers Partner with HR and Office Services to prepare workspaces for new hires and employee exits Support healthy and safety initiatives including fire extinguisher checks, AED inspections, and emergency readiness Set up and break down spaces for internal and client-facing events Monitor and ensure performance of janitorial, HVAC, coffee, and other service providers Report and follow up on landlord-related deficiencies Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shared spaces, restrooms, and appliances Assist with light-duty installations (e.g., whiteboards, signage, furniture assembly) Support internal office moves, reconfigurations, and renovation readiness Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and ticket requestors, providing courteous and solutions-oriented service Support facility security and access control procedures Address a wide range of repair tasks including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and minor structural fixes Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or office services Basic knowledge of facility maintenance procedures and safety protocols Proficiency with hand and power tools Strong organizational and time management skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience coordinating with service providers and supporting multi-department operations is preferred May require occasional evening or weekend work for special projects or emergencies What AmeriLife Offers A comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO, medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, disability insurance, and life insurance.
