Facilities DirectorREPORTS TO
Associate Executive Director BRANCH:
Camp Winona Family YMCA - Onsite Housing Available- Must live on property ______________________________________________________________________________GENERAL FUNCTION
To manage ongoing construction, maintenance, repairs and custodial for Camp Winona YMCA facility (property of 68 Acres).ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
The incumbent must have the competencies, skills and leadership ability to successfully maintain the YMCA facility and grounds. Oversees climate control operation of the facility Directs maintenance and repair of all utilities, repair and renovation of all buildings and grounds Directs purchasing, requisitioning and warehousing of an adequate inventory of supplies, materials and equipment and maintains records incidental to all activities of the facility Advises the Associate Executive Director on all maintenance and repair problems Prepares cost studies and develops standardized maintenance and preventative maintenance procedures Consults with architects, contract engineers, contractors, state and federal agency employees, as well as all representatives of companies doing work on the facility or grounds Advises and/or responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis as needed Plans and directs landscaping of YMCA grounds Overseas safekeeping of keys used in locking / unlocking areas to be cleaned as necessary. Hires custodian and maintenance staff, supervises and inspects work performed by staff Provides orientation and training for new employees Attend monthly leadership meetings Directs maintenance of department personnel records Schedules work times and assign cleaning and repair duties and areas of responsibility for staff Perform supervisory duties necessary to maintain cleanliness, safety and sanitary conditions throughout the facility and groundsQUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma minimallyExperience:
Custodial, maintenance and / or other related work, 3 or more years of experience preferred. HVAC, carpentry, or Mechanic work preferredSkills and Ability Requirements:
Must be able to read and write. Be able to lift 50 pounds. Be able to relate effectively to diverse groups of people. Be able to use sound judgement and adaptability to solve problems when situations arise Must have current certification in CPR for Infants, Adults & Children, First Aid, and AED at all times (and originally within 90 days of employment). Must take the YMCA Child Abuse course within the first 90 days of employment and a refresher course each year Clean driving recordJob Type:
