DEFINITION
The purpose of this job/class within the organization is to provide semi-skilled work in a variety of fields in the set-up of events at The Center at Deltona. This job/class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Essential Functions:
Set-up all tables and chairs for events in the ballroom and all other rooms in the Center. Prepare tables with linen tablecloths and folded napkins. Put place-settings of china, silverware and glassware on the tables. Set-up sign-in tables, gift tables, name card tables, cake table and DJ tables. Set-up lighting for event. Set-up ceremony site in ballroom or on event lawn. Handle all sound and lighting. Keep inventory of all linen on hand and what needs to be ordered or received from caterers for upcoming events. Removes trash and debris from rooms and put in dumpster in service area. Vacuum all rooms to make sure carpet looks good before table placement. Monitors assigned facilities and corrects and/or reports any safety issues to appropriate supervisor. Position is subject to being "on call" and working after normal City work hours as well as weekends and holidays.

Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
Requires a driver's license valid in the State of Florida. Requires CPR and First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire.
