Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care A skilled nursing facility in Deltona, Florida is seeking an experienced Internal Admissions Director to manage the admissions process from referral through arrival. This role is best suited for someone who already understands skilled nursing admissions and can coordinate effectively with hospitals, families, nursing, therapy, case management, and facility leadership. Candidates must have prior Director of Admissions experience. Responsibilities Manage the internal admissions process from initial referral through resident admission Review referrals and coordinate clinical and financial information with the appropriate departments Work closely with hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, families, and referral sources Coordinate bed availability and communicate admission status with facility leadership Ensure all required admissions documentation is completed accurately and on time Maintain consistent follow-up on pending referrals Support census development through strong referral management and conversion Communicate effectively with nursing, rehabilitation, business office, and administrative teams Help ensure a smooth transition for new residents and families Maintain accurate records of referrals, admissions, denials, and pending cases Identify barriers to admission and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them Provide responsive, professional communication throughout the admissions process Required Qualifications Previous Director of Admissions experience required Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute admissions experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of the SNF admissions and referral process Experience working with hospital case managers, discharge planners, and referral sources Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple referrals and priorities Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment Strong follow-up and attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leadership Compensation & Benefits $36
