JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Manager will implement regulatory, policy and contractual compliance concerning the operational effectiveness and condition of vehicles, equipment and facilities. The manager will be responsible for all NCCOA buildings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle all routine maintenance, e.g. minor structural repairs, plumbing, electrical, etc., not requiring an outside vendor. Act as liaison for the HCFD with all service and utility vendors. Complete quarterly inspections of all facilities for possible problems. Help with set-up for major events. Manage the maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of three vehicles: two Meals on Wheels delivery trucks and the CHORE pick-up truck. Manage the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair, condition and availability of equipment and facilities in compliance with regulations, Company policies and contracts, and procedures and management direction. Participate in activities related to declared emergencies, evacuations and special/unforeseen circumstances whether or not related to this Position's Job Summary or other Duties and Responsibilities. Actively participate in and support activities that expand and/or improve the Agency's operations and accomplishment of its mission and objectives. Maintain complete, accurate, timely and orderly physical and electronic files and information related to this position. Conduct other duties and responsibilities as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills. Effective Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills. Effective problem-solving skills. Professional, respectful demeanor and disposition.
SUPERVISION
This position reports to the Chief Resource Officer and supervises the weekend custodian.
WORK EXPERIENCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma. Pass Level 2 background check required by DOEA. Adhere to Zero Tolerance Drug Free Workplace standards.
PHYSICAL WORK REQUIREMENTS
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis. Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone. Able to lift 50 pounds.
