Job Description
Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club is seeking an energetic, organized, and service-oriented Sportsplex Facility & Paddle Club Manager to lead operations at our exciting new Sportsplex facility. This premier recreational destination will feature pickleball, padel tennis, beach tennis, sand volleyball, bocce ball, basketball, croquet, walking trails, a dog park, and a full-service pro shop. The ideal candidate will combine strong facility management skills with expertise in pickleball programming and instruction, creating an exceptional member experience while overseeing daily operations, events, leagues, tournaments, and retail sales. Essential Responsibilities Facility & Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the Sportsplex facility and all associated amenities. Ensure all courts, recreational areas, walking trails, dog park, and common spaces are maintained to the highest standards. Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors to address facility needs and improvements. Monitor facility usage and scheduling to maximize member participation and enjoyment. Ensure compliance with all club policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures. Assist with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and financial reporting. Pickleball Instruction & Programming (Required) Provide high-quality pickleball instruction through group clinics, beginner programs, and skills development sessions. Develop and oversee pickleball programming for all skill levels, including leagues, ladders, round robins, social play, and fun competitive events. Organize and manage tournaments, special events, exhibitions, and inter-club competitions. Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and sportsmanlike culture for all participants. Assist members with rules education, game strategy, and skill development. Monitor court usage and scheduling to ensure fair and efficient access. Paddle Sports & Recreation Programming Develop programming and events for padel tennis, beach tennis, bocce ball, volleyball, croquet, basketball, and other recreational amenities. Coordinate social events, instructional programs, and member engagement activities. Create innovative programs that encourage participation and foster community involvement. Pro Shop Management Oversee daily operations of the Sportsplex Pro Shop. Coordinate ordering, merchandising, inventory control, pricing, and vendor relationships. Ensure the Pro Shop remains clean, organized, and visually appealing. Handle point-of-sale transactions, member charges, and basic financial reporting. Monitor sales performance and recommend products based on industry trends and member demand. Member Experience & Engagement Serve as a visible and enthusiastic ambassador for the Sportsplex and Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club. Build strong relationships with members and guests while delivering exceptional customer service. Collaborate with the Marketing and Recreation Departments to promote programs, events, lessons, and facility amenities. Assist with onboarding new members interested in pickleball and other Sportsplex activities. Address member concerns, feedback, and requests in a professional and timely manner. Administration Create and maintain lesson schedules, league calendars, tournament registrations, and event sign-ups. Communicate effectively with members through email, social media, flyers, and club communication platforms. Maintain accurate records, reports, participation statistics, and operational documentation. Duties Manage daily operations of the sports complex, including courts, fitness areas, and paddle facilities Supervise staff, including shift management, scheduling, and training to ensure excellent guest services Oversee event planning and management for tournaments, social events, and special programs Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed during reservations and event transactions Maintain facility cleanliness, safety standards, and equipment upkeep to ensure optimal operation Prepare reports on facility usage, event outcomes, and staff performance to inform ongoing improvements Qualifications Previous facility, recreation, sports club, or racquet sports management experience required. Certified Pickleball Professional (PPR, IPTPA, or equivalent preferred). Strong playing background and thorough knowledge of pickleball rules, instruction, and strategy. Previous experience teaching pickleball or similar racquet/paddle sports. Retail or Pro Shop management experience preferred. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service abilities. Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, and basic computer programs. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods. Ability to demonstrate sports activities and provide instruction. Ability to lift and carry equipment and merchandise as needed. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
