Work Schedule Full-time position Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM In-person, on-site work at client properties Job Summary The Facility Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facilities. Responsible for meeting the needs of building occupants, tenants, members, and guests and also ensuring the buildings are maintained according to best practices. Responsibilities Oversee all facility maintenance operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, custodial, landscaping, and security. Supervise and train maintenance, custodial, and security staff; manage subcontractors and vendor performance. Perform routine inspections and ensure timely completion of maintenance repairs and service requests. Manage the work order system, including task assignment, tracking, and reporting of labor and material costs. Coordinate required inspections for elevators and life safety systems; maintain accurate records and ensure compliance. Support meetings and events by coordinating setup, breakdown, and staffing needs. Monitor and manage the facility budget; report on expenses and operational impacts. Serve as primary contact for tenants and clients, addressing maintenance concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Implement safety and emergency procedures, including hazardous materials handling and emergency response. Provide regular updates to management and lead client meetings to review operations and priorities. Implement procedures for handling, storing, safekeeping, and disposal of hazardous materials according to applicable regulations. Implement emergency procedures for hurricanes, tropical storms, other weather events, power outages, floods, pipe leaks, and so forth. Manage the annual facility budget and report regularly to senior management and the client on anything impacting the budget. Develop relationships with tenants and address any maintenance issues reported. Coordinate with the client regarding maintenance issues that are within the tenant's responsibilities. Serve as primary contact for facility-related emergencies, which may require evening and weekend work. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 2 years of facilities maintenance and supervisory experience. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements. Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written); bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to use computers and smartphones. Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills. Ability to follow instructions, complete routine paperwork, and manage tasks efficiently. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, clients, and tenants. Self-motivated with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations. Skilled in general maintenance and workmanship (e.g., basic repairs and craftsmanship). Physically able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift to 50 lbs., and work outdoors in South Florida weather conditions. Must pass a criminal background check and any site-specific screening requirements.
