Collaborate with the Medical Director, Administrator, Therapy, Social Services, Dietary, and other department leaders. Oversee staffing plans while balancing quality care and labor management. Review clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Investigate incidents, grievances, and resident concerns while implementing corrective action plans. Ensure medication management practices meet regulatory standards. Support ongoing education, competency validation, and leadership development for nursing staff. Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and operational initiatives. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Minimum 3 years of nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting. Previous experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing preferred. Thorough knowledge of AHCA regulations , CMS Conditions of Participation , F-Tags, and the survey process. Strong understanding of Quality Measures, QAPI, infection prevention, and clinical reimbursement. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; MSN is a plus. RAC-CT, Infection Preventionist (IP), Wound Care, or Gerontological Nursing certifications are preferred. Proven success improving Five-Star Quality Measures and survey outcomes. Experience reducing agency utilization and improving employee retention.
