This position works directly with the General Manager and is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of a 300-slip marina and Yacht Club amenities. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing any maintenance issues or complaints on the property, ensuring all regulatory inspections are completed annually, and sourcing contractors for specialized repairs. A strong understanding of marina electrical and plumbing is required for this position, particularly in troubleshooting and repairing pedestals and breakers in the marina. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all maintenance services for the marina (300 wet slips) and Yacht Club - Yacht Club amenities include a gym, formal dining room and kitchen, pool bar and kitchen, 2 pools and spa, lounge, locker rooms, laundry room facility with showers. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and Members and address urgent repairs. Perform maintenance, service, and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, and cleaning. Source and oversee all hired contractors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, renovations, and specialized work. Oversee all regulatory permits and inspections - ensure all annual inspections and permits are completed in compliance with local ordinances and codes. Maintain landscaping as required Maintain all pool chemicals and logs as required by FDOH. Monitor R&M budget and Capex budgets to ensure projects and spend does not exceed budgets. Responsible for coding, balancing, and reconciling a monthly credit card expense statement. Ensure all facilities meet safety, health, and building code standards. Develop and maintain effective, friendly, professional working relationships with staff, members, guests and vendors Availability to work overtime when required Other duties as assigned by Manager Technical and Physical Requirements Strong understanding of marina electrical (pedestals, breakers, shore power, etc.), HVAC, and plumbing systems required Strong carpentry and other trades skills highly preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred 2-5 years' marina facilities maintenance experience preferred Ability to work safely around the water Ability to lift 50 pounds Basic boat handling skills preferred Knowledge of dock construction and repair preferred Knowledge of basic power tools preferred Ability to work in all weather conditions Any skills considered standard that a Facilities Manager should possess Minimum Soft Skills Qualifications Eagerness to engage in a growing, fast paced, and industry-leading company Consistently treats others with dignity and respect Genuinely serves others with humility and a positive attitude Frequently demonstrates a bias toward action Always communicates effectively and courteously to establish strong networks internally and externally to ensure that decisions are thoughtful of all stakeholders Follows policies and procedures while seeking out new and better ways of accomplishing duties Shows resolve and overcomes difficulties in a positive and productive manner Provides responsive service to our teammates and members Continuously puts forth the extra effort to accomplish duties Develop sound conclusions and makes decisions based on analysis of data and understanding of the business Works to build high performing teams while taking an interest in teammates' professional development Organize, plan and manage teammates and processes efficiently Unfailing commitment to continuous learning and growth Acts with integrity and is open to feedback from all teammates Willingly coaches teammates through change and leads all situations with positivity Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.
