The City of Newnan is looking for a full-time Leisure Services Coordinator for our new Leisure Services Department. Are you a creative and energetic person who enjoys event and facility management? If so, The City of Newnan's Leisure Services Department is looking for you. As the mission and duties of the department grow, we are excited to hire a Coordinator of Leisure Services to assist with the overall management and operation of community facilities and events. Respond to public inquiries regarding programs and facilities Schedule and execute tours of parks and facilities Assist in promoting city sponsored programs, events, and rental facilities What do you need to do this job? University Degree or Certificate in Leisure Services/Recreation or related field and Minimum of 1 year experience in coordinating public facilities or Equivalent experience and education Be a highly motivated team player Considerable knowledge of facilities, operations and techniques used in a community recreation program Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other agencies, participants, community leaders and the general public Effective organizing skills Work Schedule Due to the nature of the job, some night, weekend and holiday work will be required as well as working during standard business hours.
