Responsible for planning, managing, maintaining, and repairing all facility related aspects of the yard. Overseeing the general safety of the facilities, maintenance, machinery and equipment, the management of facilities crew. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and experience in facilities management within an industrial environment. The Facilities Manager position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant workplace that supports ongoing production activities. Responsibilities Plan all maintenance programs at least 1 year out. Manage all work involving maintenance of the boatyard, buildings and machinery. Recommend, implement and manage a system of scheduled cleaning of the boatyard including related buildings and grounds. Initiate and disburse job and work schedules to the facilities crew. Track employee performance against TMI standards. Implement a Preventative Maintenance program for all equipment and machinery to ensure minimal downtime or equipment. Manage the execution and completion of planned and approved maintenance schedules. Coordinate, communicate and implement maintenance schedules with Department Supervisors. Research, recommend, repair and implement improvements to facility, machinery and equipment to help reduce cost, improve flow, and enhance boatyard. Aid in the management of facility security operations. Perform other tasks and work as assigned. Qualifications Proven management experience in facilities management within manufacturing or industrial settings. High Voltage knowledge and understanding. Must have knowledge of tools, equipment and machinery in relation to Marine Industry. High School Graduate or equivalent. Basic understanding of labor categories, time keeping, project management and material management. Working knowledge of basic marine engineering calculations. Ability to interpret instructions and solve basic problems presented in written, oral or schedule form. Operate industrial equipment. Move material up to 75 lbs.
