Facility Supervisor

JOB FUNCTION

The City of Norwalk Park and Recreation Department is looking for energetic individuals who are interested in supervising multiple parks and recreation programs at McAninch Sports Complex and many indoor facilities. This position will be available year-round with many different opportunities throughout the weekdays and weekends. All offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a background check and drug screening.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are normal for this position but dependent upon the level of skill, ability, and experience of the individual. They are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Implement regular inspections in all facility areas to ensure activities are conducted safely and appropriately. Open, Close, and secure facilities at the mentioned times. Educate and guide participants and other staff (Referees and Umpires). Ensure to enforce and comply with all established policies and procedures. Ensure cleanliness in all facilities, storage areas, and restrooms. Sanitize all high-tough, high-frequency areas after the program completes for the day. Make oneself visible at all times to renters and all program participants. Performs other facility and site maintenance tasks as assigned.

Entry Requirements and Skills:

Valid driver's license and good driving record. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers. Knowledge of basic maintenance and cleaning materials. Possess a basic understanding of safe equipment operation. Work hours include daytime, evening, weekend, and holidays.

Physical Requirements/Essential Functions:

Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Routinely lifting objects from 15-25 pounds. Occasionally lifting objects weighing more than 50 pounds. Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to communicate effectively. Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to monitor McAninch Sports Complex field conditions and indoor facility inventory maintenance requirements. Sufficient personal mobility, strength, and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to work efficiently throughout McAninch Sports Complex and indoor facilities.
