DIETARY MANAGER

Located in the southwest suburb of Chicago Heights, our Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility serves 210 ambulatory adults. Cafeteria style service takes place in a central dining room for three meals each day; there are, of course, snacks and special events outside of this area. We are looking for a personable and energetic individual to join our supervisory team. This person must be a Certified Dietary Manager and would be responsible for coordinating the dietary department, including staffing, supplies and menus.

This includes:

• Planning menus, assuring that standardized recipes are utilized while also meeting the many dietary preferences of our residents.
• Conducting inspections of all dietary activities to assure that quality control measures and established procedures are maintained.
• Conducting individualized resident dietary assessments.
• Participating in the development and implementation of individualized resident treatment plans.

As a Public Health licensed facility, knowledge of serving, sanitation and storage standards are a necessity. All of our residents have a history of living with mental illness, and sometimes their requests and demands may become a little too well known. Maintaining an understanding, friendly, and professional demeanor is always in style!
