Job Description
Role:
As a CBRE Sr Facilities Manager, you will manage many functions of building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.What You'll Do:
Will manage 4 sites - Elgin, 2 in North Chicago suburbs, and 1 in Milwaukie,WI. Will use either a personal vehicle or a rental car to travel (approximately 60% of the time) with travel reimbursement. Provide no formal supervision to no employees. Will travel up to 10% of the time. Will create and manage the budget. Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Oversee facilities security in the Americas (US, Canada, Central and South America). Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors. Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities. Develop vendor relationships and oversee invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans. Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
