Divisions:
OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Facilities Maintenance Technician assists with the maintenance of the facility, grounds, and ancillary equipment. This key position will perform tasks as directed to help with the increased demand placed on our facilities maintenance team. Position Responsibilities Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees. Perform checks on assigned equipment. Maintain interior and exterior lighting. Service environmental equipment. Perform emergency plumbing repairs. Service air compressors and air dryers . Construct, modify, and/or relocate workspace areas. Construct, repair, and maintain interior walls, stairways, and ceilings. Make deliveries of tooling and equipment in the local area. Perform other tasks as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent. Good verbal and written communication, and basic math skills. Strong problem-solving and workload prioritization. Valid state driver's license and certification on all assigned industrial lifts. Proficient in the use of all hand tools, including normal carpentry and mechanical tools. Working knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, and welding. Good close vision and depth perception skills. Ability to contribute successfully as part of a team. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Ability to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot). Ability to operate a motor vehicle while maintaining focus on safe driving and avoiding all distractions when behind the wheel, especially cell phones. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to work in an elevated ambient temperature environment. Ability to utilize stepladders, extension, and fixed ladders. Ability to work at elevated work heights, mezzanines, roofs, decks, and/or mobile working platforms. The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
