Job Description

This role is for a talented individual who wishes to utilize his/her abilities with a willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church. The Facility Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the physical plant of the Parishes within the collaborative of St Jude Parish and St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Medfield and Norfolk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Include, but are not limited to)
Knowledge:
Knowledgeable about electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, carpentry, painting, masonry, sprinklers, etc.
Repairs:
Perform minor repairs for the above items.
Vendors:
Identify projects and issues, meet with service vendors, acquire quotes, and oversee work by service vendors.
Events:
Prepare/set-up areas for Masses and events, which may include occasional weekends.
Maintenance & Supplies:
Perform the cleaning of the churches, rectories, and grounds. Order and pick up supplies, tools, trash, etc. Oversea the work of landscape and snow removal vendors. Ensure the locking of facilities. Move furniture.
Inspections:
Regular daily/weekly 'walk-through' of buildings and grounds for preventative maintenance and identify issues. Accompany inspection walk-throughs for fire, insurance, building, water, etc.
Compliance & Logs:
Ensure compliance with OSHA and Archdiocese (RCAB) codes. Communicate with RCAB Risk and Property Management departments on safety, insurance related issues, construction and renovation projects, and to ensure adherence to policies and procedures Interact with local municipal officials to ensure permits, licenses and inspections are in order. Maintain up-to-date contact information with fire, police, alarm/security systems. Maintain logs for equipment, systems, contracts, maintenance, repairs, projects, issues, and all items pertaining to the physical plant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be willing to support the mission of the Catholic Church Able to use computer software - Excel, Word, Outlook email Experience in building maintenance and basic knowledge of cleaning methods and products. Familiar with the use of equipment and systems Pro-active and take initiative. Professional and cordial demeanor. Ability to provide own transportation to and from work and for job-related responsibilities. Clearance of CORI background check on an annual basis. Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, move heavy items. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Having and using your pick-up truck is a plus.
