Job Description

Facilities Coordinator Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Pay:
$21-$23 per hour

Entry Level Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our facility. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and has some general maintenance, handyman, construction, or facilities experience. This is an entry-level position with close supervision and training provided. We are not looking for a highly specialized tradesperson. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable using basic tools, and willing to learn. Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance and routine repairs. Complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, patching, and drywall repairs. Troubleshoot minor maintenance issues and determine when additional assistance or an outside vendor may be needed. Replace light bulbs, fixtures, filters, hardware, and other basic building components. Assist with preventative maintenance of equipment and facility systems. Assemble furniture and assist with moving equipment, supplies, and materials. Set up rooms and workspaces as needed. Maintain common areas, storage spaces, mechanical areas, and exterior property. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Inspect the facility for safety concerns, damage, and needed repairs. Assist with seasonal maintenance, including snow removal and grounds upkeep as needed. Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies. Assist with coordinating outside contractors and vendors. Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines. Perform other general maintenance and facilities duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous general maintenance, facilities, handyman, construction, property maintenance, or labor experience preferred. Entry-level candidates with related hands-on experience are encouraged to apply. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools. Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs. Strong reliability, organization, and attention to detail. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers, residents, vendors, and contractors. Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies and perform physical work throughout the day. Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
