Our batteries store heat in low-cost carbon blocks at up to 2400 degrees Celsius - half the temperature of the sun. The batteries then convert this heat back to electricity using thermophotovoltaics (TPV) on demand. Job Description We are seeking a Facilities Manager to join the Fourth Power Operations team. You will be responsible for owning safe, efficient, and effective facility operations across Fourth Power's two sites. This is a full-time, exempt role.
Location:
Bedford, MA Your Role Own safe, efficient, and effective facility operations at Fourth Power's two sites. Define and execute the facility custodial and maintenance plan with support from the engineering technician team. Negotiate and administer service contracts as required. Manage building general supply stock levels and procurement. Define and execute on team building events at our sites. Define and execute inbound and outbound receiving processes. Respond to facility failures. Define and manage the facilities budget. Lead and execute continuous improvement projects at both sites. Qualifications 5 or more years of experience in facilities management, plant maintenance, or industrial operations. Experience maintaining plant cooling systems, not just general facilities HVAC a plus. Experience defining and executing preventive maintenance programs. Experience negotiating and administering facility-related service contracts. Experience defining and managing a facilities budget. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with fellow engineers and technicians. Passionate about building a great team culture.
