Facility Generalist

Facility Generalist (Contract) - $32-$38/hr | Quincy, MA We are hiring a reliable and hands-on Facility Generalist for a 5-month contract in Quincy, MA . This role supports daily facility operations, maintenance, and workplace services to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient environment. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs (carpentry, painting, minor electrical, plumbing) Support HVAC, lighting, and building systems to ensure proper operation Conduct routine facility inspections and address issues proactively Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance Assist with office moves, furniture setup, and space reconfiguration Maintain facility supply inventory and order materials as needed Respond to employee service requests in a timely manner Support health, safety, and compliance standards Contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or building operations Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to lift and move equipment as needed Familiarity with facility management systems (Service Zone or similar preferred) High school diploma or equivalent
