As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Maintenance Department supporting vivarium operations and site maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, proactive problem-solving, and excellent interpersonal abilities, which will align successfully within the organization.

$36 to $38/hr What's the Job? Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vivarium equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Conduct regular site walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with environmental standards Execute welding tasks (MIG/TIG/arc) for repairs, fabrication, and structural support, ensuring safe operation of welding equipment Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders to minimize operational disruptions Carry out general facility upkeep including carpentry, drywall repair, tiling, and light remodeling projects What's Needed? At least 5+ years of experience in maintenance or facilities support roles Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems Proficiency in MIG/TIG/arc welding with the ability to operate related tools safely and effectively Experience working with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and other mechanical systems Comfort working at heights, on ladders, and performing physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs.
