Facilities Staff Associate (Part-Time) YMCA Of Central Massachusetts - 3.9 Worcester, MA Job Details Part-time $15 - $18 an hour 14 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Qualifications Carpentry Minor electrical repair Equipment safety procedures Equipment repair Air conditioning unit repair Safety regulations Electrical work Minor facility damage repair Groundskeeping High school diploma or GED Driver's License Electrical maintenance Machine minor repairs Mechanical systems repair Full Job Description Under the direction of the Facility Director, the Facilities Staff will perform daily custodial duties, as well as, general building maintenance including, but not limited to, assisting with pool and plumbing issues, painting and snow removal at the Greendale Family Branch YMCA. This position operates in accordance with the provisions and policies of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and bylaws of the Greendale Family Branch
YMCA. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assume secondary responsibility to monitor, troubleshoot and repair, as needed, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems of the branch and related facilities. Assist with snow removal and all seasonal weather removals and installations Upkeep of cleanliness and maintenance of the Greendale Family Branch YMCA Ensure proper working order of equipment within the facility and keep standard inventory of necessary repair items in the facility at all times Complete task list established by Facilities Director Follow all safety regulations in accordance with OSHA and all our other industry guidelines and procedures If assigned to the Asset Essentials app; be able to review tasks daily to ensure preventative and other designated maintenance tasks assigned are completed Daily communication with supervisor and Association team regarding status of all aspects of Greendale Family Branch Facility Primarily, be the opening staff; however, the ability to flex schedule to match the changing needs of the branch facility is sometimes required Participates in staff meeting and other branch and Association meetings are required Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
The Facilities Staff Associate must have a High School diploma and related experience in mechanical repairs and custodial procedures or equivalent training This position requires the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and/or do minor repairs to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds keeping, pool and hot tub maintenance. Should be able to follow direction, work under minimal supervision, follow a timetable and complete assignments as prescribed by the Facilities Director This position requires a working knowledge and practice of the highest safety standards in all areas of responsibility CPR, First Aid and AED training within 30 days of employment, CPO training within the first 90 days is encouraged. Risk Management training completed prior to hire Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community Possession of a valid MA Driver's License with the ability to meet YMCA standards to be an authorized driver of the YMCA of Central Massachusetts (at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record of at least 2 years) Perform other related duties as assigned

Pay:
$15.00-$18.00/hr (based on experience). Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA Employees & Employee Assistance Program available.
