Job Description
Position Title:
Facilities Manager Mission:
Work with the paid staff and church members to achieve the vision and goals of the church as they relate to the church's physical plant. Oversee the day-to-day and maintenance and mechanical operations of the church's physical plant.Work Schedule :
Full-time Qualifications:
- Must accept and abide by the standards of all PCA and church policies.
- Must possess unquestioned honesty and integrity.
- Must be able to work independently and with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may, on occasion, include night or weekend hours.
Skills:
- A working knowledge of mechanical facility systems including, plumbing, electrical, fire, access, safety, alarm, mechanical and HVAC systems.
- At a minimum, ability to perform all necessary basic repair and/or maintenance of buildings and equipment. Advanced skills desirable.
- Should possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a written Maintenance & Improvements Plan for church facilities, based on current needs, planned future needs, and budgetary constraints. o Submit Maintenance & Improvements Plan to Office of Deacons annually in conjunction with budget cycle o Submit updates of Maintenance & Improvements Plan to Deacons, at least quarterly
- Maintain accurate up-to-date files documenting, but not limited to, the following: o Repair, refresh and renovation schedules o Required inspections of fire and safety equipment, water treatment systems, lighting systems and exterior features.
- Care, inventory and control of church tools and equipment
- Physical plant o Perform maintenance/repair of buildings and equipment as needed, to include basic tasks, seasonal tasks, break/fix, maintenance, improvements and other related projects.
- Cleaning o Determine the scope work for contracted cleaning of facilities.
- Grounds o Determine the scope of work for contracted lawn care/landscaping.
- Order consumable supplies as needed to support all maintenance, custodial and grounds keeping initiatives.
- Perform general oversight of facility security programs and systems.
- Assist with set-up and take-down for special SPEP programs or events
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Reporting:
Facilities Manager works under the oversight of the Board of Deacons but reports directly to the Executive Pastor.- Day to day prioritization shall be in conformance to the priorities of the Executive Pastor. Month to month prioritization should have the ascent of the Deacons.
- All written plans, schedules, and inventories will be submitted to the Deacons and Executive Pastor for review at least annually.
Pay:
