Job Summary The Fuel Facility Operations Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the fuel facility, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards. This role encompasses the comprehensive management of day-to-day operations, including fuel scheduling, manpower planning, fuel quality audits, budgeting and forecasting, and performance management. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing administrative, operational, and security tasks, maintaining equipment and facility upkeep, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence. In addition to operational oversight, the Fuel Facility Operations Manager works closely with the Station Manager and key airline representatives to ensure all customer service standards are met, while actively driving improvements in inventory management, customer satisfaction, and overall facility performance. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to creating efficient, compliant, and high-quality fuel facility operations. The expected pay rate is $85,000/year. Safety and Compliance :
Ensure that all operations adhere to company safety and health policies, actively maintaining a safe work environment. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including
FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S.
Customs, airport authority, and company rules and regulations. Oversee adherence to fuel quality and safety standards, including ATA 103 Fuel Quality Control Specifications, NFPA 407, and FAR Part 139.321.
Operational Efficiency :
Maintain efficient and cost-effective facility operations through the management of subordinate staff, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and reducing costs. Monitor and manage staffing, time, and attendance to minimize reliance on overtime, maintaining an efficient and productive workforce. Actively monitor and drive performance to achieve location-specific KPIs, including employee safety, on-time performance, and financial targets.
Customer Service and Contract Fulfillment :
Ensure that customer service standards are met and that contract services are performed in line with client expectations. Liaise regularly with customers, airport authorities, and government agencies to address needs and maintain strong working relationships.
Team Leadership and Development :
Supervise and support subordinate staff, providing coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed to uphold company policies. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement among team members to achieve operational excellence. Your profile
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred, with a focus on Facility Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of five years of facility maintenance experience, preferably within the petroleum industry, including at least two years in a management role.
Technical and Analytical Skills:
Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply business literature, technical documentation, safety protocols, and government regulations. Skilled in problem-solving, with the ability to address practical and abstract issues effectively.
Organizational and Communication Skills:
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. Proficiency in oral and written communication, with an emphasis on clear documentation and reporting.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
