The FCAT Process, Facility, and Equipment Manager is an onsite role which is located at 8555 Lynch Road, Detroit Michigan. We are looking for a hardworking, facility and equipment knowledgeable candidate with a passion to lead positive change at our Detroit terminal. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team membersMonitoring permit and certificatesOversee routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendorsEnsuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionalsMaintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating maintenance workCreating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrencesPreparing facilities for changing weather conditionsCollaborating with upper management on budgeting for facilities needsPlan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishmentsInspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovationsAllocate office space according to needsHandle insurance plans and service contractsForecasting and monitoring parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levelsOversee the receiving of parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling themOverseeing special ordersCollaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobsHead any equipment project (creating business case, loading in to Ariba, conduct trials)Spec'ing of all equipmentStrong organizational, project management and leadership skills to prioritize and coordinate the efforts of the teamDevelop long-term organizational strategies/plans to meet future business needs and growth opportunitiesBenchmark new technologies and produce business case to senior leadership for driver and mechanics efficiencies and productivity

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree8 years of Experience with heavy duty truck and trailer repair experience and spec'ingExperience with heavy duty truck and trailer parts, Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed partsAdvanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systemsProficiency with repair tools and techniquesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors, and team membersGreat time management, organization, and prioritization abilitiesKeen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skillsAbility to work with experts from many disciplines and organizations to develop and implement benchmark processes
