Pay Range ✔ $15 - $18 •Pay is based on experience and applicable licensure •Employment Type ✔ Full-Time | Monday - Friday | Weekends as Needed Essential Responsibilities ✔ Maintain and care for lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other outdoor landscaping features. ✔ Plant, water, prune, weed, and maintain landscaping according to seasonal needs. ✔ Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, and other groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively. ✔ Assist with seasonal grounds needs, including leaf and fall cleanup, snow removal, shoveling, salting, and maintaining safe walkways and entrances. ✔ Assist with basic facility maintenance and general upkeep, including minor repairs, changing light bulbs, replacing filters, moving furniture or equipment, and responding to routine work orders within scope of training. ✔ Perform routine inspections of indoor and outdoor areas and report maintenance, safety, or repair concerns to the appropriate team member. ✔ Clean, inspect, and properly store tools, equipment, and supplies after use. ✔ Assist the Housekeeping team with general cleaning and sanitation of resident, common, and facility areas as needed. ✔ Assist the Laundry team with collecting, washing, drying, folding, distributing, and organizing linens and other laundry as needed. ✔ Assist with room setups, furniture moves, deliveries, special events, and other facility support needs. ✔ Maintain clean, safe, and presentable indoor and outdoor spaces for residents, visitors, and team members. ✔ Follow established safety procedures, infection prevention practices, and proper equipment and chemical handling guidelines. ✔ Work independently while managing time effectively and adjusting priorities based on facility needs. ✔ Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented approach when interacting with residents, families, visitors, and team members. ✔ Support and adhere to Resthaven policies, procedures, standards, and mission. ✔ Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and upkeep of the facility. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities ✔ Ability and willingness to perform a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks, including groundskeeping, basic maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry support. ✔ Basic knowledge of hand tools, landscaping equipment, and general facility maintenance practices preferred. ✔ Ability to safely operate lawn care, groundskeeping, and snow-removal equipment. ✔ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work orders, safety guidelines, and established procedures. ✔ Ability to identify and report potential maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns. ✔ Strong verbal and written communication skills. ✔ Basic computer proficiency, including email, electronic work orders, and Microsoft Office applications. ✔ Ability to work effectively with older adults while demonstrating compassion, dignity, patience, and respect. ✔ Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and team members. ✔ Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize changing needs. ✔ Flexibility and willingness to assist across departments when operational needs arise. Education, Training, Experience ✔ High school diploma or GED preferred. Work Environment ✔ Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments throughout the Resthaven campus. ✔ Outdoor duties may involve exposure to varying temperatures, rain, snow, humidity, sunlight, and other seasonal weather conditions. ✔ Indoor duties may include work in resident areas, common spaces, laundry areas, housekeeping areas, mechanical or maintenance spaces, and other facility locations. ✔ Moderate noise levels are typical when operating landscaping, maintenance, cleaning, or snow-removal equipment. ✔ Duties and work locations may vary based on seasonal conditions, resident needs, staffing levels, and operational priorities. ✔ Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
