Title:
Facilities Coordinator Position Description:
The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for all aspects associated with the maintenance and care of the buildings and grounds of Centennial United Methodist Church (CUMC).
Supervisor:
Roseville Campus Pastor Key Functions and Roles:
Oversee the day-to-day building maintenance activities at both CUMC campuses. Track the operations of the heating and cooling systems (HVAC), boilers and furnaces at both campuses, and coordinate services and repairs with approved vendors. Assess all mechanical systems to ensure they are working properly and coordinate needed repairs and maintenance with designated CUMC personnel and/or approved vendors. Function as the first point-of-contact for emergency calls at both campuses and coordinate response with CUMC Facility Leads and/or other designated CUMC staff. Coordinate any emergent building response at both CUMC campuses. Coordinate the safe, clean, and orderly condition of the buildings and grounds at both campuses. Follow and maintain the Master Operations Schedule. Coordinate required building and equipment inspections with a member of CUMC Facilities Lead and ensure license renewals and correction orders are conducted in a timely manner. Monitor irrigation systems at both campuses and collaborate with contracted vendor. Coordinate the set-up of rooms at both campuses for special events, classes, meetings, etc. Coordinate with the Communication and Office Manager to work with the Minnesota State Fair staff for the Park and Ride program at the Roseville campus. On days the Park and Ride is open at CUMC, function as the on-call resource person. Procure all supplies and materials needed for property management purposes per the CUMC budget Collaborate with Facilities Leads regarding general maintenance tasks to be done by FaST team (volunteers) and prepare work plan, organize supplies, and provide oversight of the team's work. Consult with the Facilities Leads and/or others prior to decision making as needed. Consult with the Facilities Leads or campus pastors in making decisions on building and grounds issues and prioritizes safety issues requiring emergency attention. Work cooperatively with the Facilities Leads and FaST team to identify and plan for large-scale, long-run repair or remodeling projects. Consult regularly with the Facilities Leads regarding the operating budget and demonstrate due diligence in assessing costs and budget resources. Prepare expense reimbursement forms and seek approval from supervisor in a timely and ethical manner. Ensure that work completed by approved vendors is done in a timely and appropriate manner, that applicable codes are met, and that the finished task satisfactorily meets projected standards. Ensure custodial services are completed in satisfactory manner and work is done per the applicable contracts. Provide support to janitorial assistant at Roseville campus (weekly supply and tasks set-ups). If necessary, complete cleaning tasks so both buildings remain clean and clutter-free. Collect soiled linens for laundry service pick-up and drop-off. Coordinate with custodial staff at both campuses and schedule specialized cleaning tasks.
Work Schedule:
The Facilities Coordinator position is a part-time (20 hours per week), non-exempt position. The Coordinator will work with the CUMC pastors to arrange for flexible hours, overtime pay, coverage for evening activities, etc.

Qualifications and Competencies:
High School diploma or equivalent. Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks without direct supervision. Demonstrate strong initiative. Excellent time management skills, including competency in managing multiple tasks with deadlines. Positive communication and people skills. General functional knowledge of computer skills and email. Pass background check.
