This position is part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), and salary will be determined based on experience. This role is responsible for day-to-day general hands-on care of the facility, including technical maintenance, safety inspections, indoor and outdoor upkeep, and emergency availability. The Facility Director works alongside the Director of Operations and reports directly to the Pastor. Qualifications
- Basic familiarity with HVAC, air handlers, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, climbing ladders, and outdoor work in all seasons
- Proactive in spotting minor issues, water leaks, or safety hazards before they escalate.
- Valid driver's license required
- Reliable for occasional emergency response outside normal hours.
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Must obtain Safe Gatherings certification within the first week of employment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities HVAC & Mechanical Systems
- Monitors HVAC system performance, including air handlers and condensers
- Performs regular air filter changes and preventative measures on a scheduled basis Plumbing
- Performs minor plumbing repairs in include: ○ Unclogging sinks/toilets ○ Fixing leaky faucets ○ Replacing plumbing fixtures
- Identifies larger plumbing issues Electrical
- Performs minor electrical fixes to include replacement of: ○ Outlets, light fixtures, lightbulbs, or ballast
- Identifies larger electrical issues General Inspection & Repairs
- Carries out routine maintenance and safety inspections of interior and exterior areas
- Performs necessary winterization tasks to maintain the property in good working order.
- Completes basic building repairs, including dry-wall patching, painting, and replacing floor or ceiling tiles.
- Conducts periodic scheduled deep cleaning of various systems and areas (cleaning of vents, power washing exterior).
- Maintains exterior equipment, lighting, and landscaping beds in all seasons.
- Performs room set-ups as needed Coordinating Service Providers
- Coordinates routine and emergency Service Provider maintenance and repair for work beyond the scope of this position.
- Coordinates with snow removal company in advance of winter season Physical Requirements This position requires regular physical activity, including:
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Climbing ladders and working at heights
- Bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces
- Extended periods of standing and walking
