Join the YMCA of St. Joseph team as our Facility/Property Manager! Job Description Under the direction of the Operations Director, the Facility/Property Manager will be responsible for the coordination and management of all facility maintenance, including the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and ventilating systems. Duties include direction of the custodial care, maintenance and improvement operations of YMCA facilities, equipment and grounds, preventative maintenance and related budgets. This position is a member of the Y's Leadership and serves as a liaison to volunteer committee(s), as assigned. Qualifications 1. Experience in Facility Management or a related field or equivalent. 2. Three or more years experience in facilities or closely related field. 3. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas. 4. Skills in supervision, budget management and project management. 5. Familiarity with personal computers necessary. 6. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations. Essential Functions Essential functions of the job: 1. Provide overall coordination of facility, grounds and property maintenance, including planning and developing preventative maintenance. 2. Ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems. 3. Complete repair work and projects in a timely manner, implementing an effective system to ensure a prompt response to repair and maintenance requests. 4. Oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds. 5. Work with outside agencies such as fire, health, building department, etc. to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds. 6. Maintain all required logs, records and documentation necessary to uphold compliance with municipal codes, OSHA and related MSDS requirements. 7. Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule and direct assigned staff and volunteers. 8. Oversee the maintenance of swimming pools, if applicable. 9.
Direct employees engaged in:
cleaning, painting and performing structural repairs; maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical system; grounds maintenance. 10. Work with CEO and Operations Director to develop facility maintenance plans and corresponding annual budget for department; monitor plans and budget to ensure that goals in both are met. Required Certifications 1. CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment. 2. Ability and current license to drive with record that meets YMCA standards. 3. "Pool" and boiler certifications preferred but not required.
