Job Description

Seeking experienced Director of Nursing ( DON ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility in the nearby St. Louis area. Director of Nursing ( DON )
Qualifications:
Licensed by the State of Missouri as an Registered Nurse ( RN ) with a current license issued by the state. Director of Nursing ( DON )
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, educate and coordinate care for the seniors that reside at the facility insuring the highest possibility of care is give at all times. Develop, educate and coordinate the creation, revisions and scope of the nursing policies and procedures Making rounds and coordination of resident centered services with other departments. Monitoring the staffing / census numbers to ensure that the correct number of staff are scheduled to meet the needs of the residents with a focus on decreasing over time. Participate in planning, budgeting and development of residents centered care working with the MDS/Care Plan team to ensure that all residents' needs are documented in the plan of care that the MDS is done in a timely manner. Planning and coordination of orientation for the nursing department as well as the overall coordination of education for all departments. Participate in medical reviews of new and existing residents as level of care may change This position requires a person that is able to analyze strengths and weakness of others and delegate the responsibility for carrying out assignments as needed. This position requires a person that is open to discussions with families and staff where concerns of residents' needs are brought up. The Director of Nursing is one that communicates well and is open minded The Director of Nursing has a working knowledge of general nursing services, rehabilitation, therapy, supervision and resident centered care.
