Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Director of Nursing to lead our Skilled Nursing Facility's nursing team. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional resident care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing administration, management, and clinical expertise, with a passion for fostering a positive, patient-centered environment. As a leader in our facility, you will drive quality improvement initiatives, mentor staff, and ensure that our residents receive compassionate and comprehensive care every day. Duties Lead and manage the nursing department, including supervising nursing staff and coordinating shift coverage to ensure seamless resident care delivery Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans for residents in accordance with medical directives and regulatory standards Oversee the accurate documentation of medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws Monitor clinical operations using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to maintain high-quality documentation review and data integrity Ensure adherence to Medicare regulations and facilitate timely completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for reimbursement purposes Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize resident outcomes, including those in assisted living, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings Maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations while fostering a culture of safety, quality improvement, and resident satisfaction Provide leadership in nurse management tasks such as shift management, staffing schedules, and performance evaluations Requirements Valid nursing license with current registration in the applicable state or jurisdiction Extensive experience in nursing home settings or skilled nursing facilities, including supervising teams of nurses and healthcare staff Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and care planning processes Proven ability to manage complex documentation review processes related to medical records and medical records management systems Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used within long-term care environments Experience working with Medicare regulations and understanding of reimbursement processes Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team development, supervision, and conflict resolution Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with residents' families, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to safeguard resident information at all times Join us as we strive to deliver outstanding care through innovative leadership!
