Location of Workplace Other Brief Summary of Work for this Position The Housekeeping Zone Manager performs a variety of duties which include assisting in the direction of the department. This position supervises housekeeping functions within a major area of the campus, determining housekeeping requirements within this assigned area; and prepares work schedules and individual workloads. Duties of this position also include inspecting for cleanliness and maintenance needs, and contact with departmental heads, professors, and support staff on a daily basis.

SHIFT :

6:00 pm - 2:30 am Tues-Fri, Sat-Flex time Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Minimum Training and Education at the entry level: Graduation from High School or possession of a GED, and one year of experience in the area assigned; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred education, professional skills and experience Five years of supervisory experience, with at least three years in institutional housekeeping and floorcare. Thorough technical knowledge of housekeeping procedures; ability to plan and implement necessary staff training programs; and ability to establish and maintain rapport with university management, staff and subordinates. Completion of high school and five years' experience in housekeeping work, three of which were in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Certifications or licensure Valid State of North Carolina driver's license.
