Job Summary:
The HMC Specialist will have the opportunity to collaborate across divisions and gain valuable skills and experience. This role will primarily work in the laundromat but may also be assigned to assist in other areas, including food distribution, the clean team, intake, and/or FRESH Floral, as needed. Regardless of the assignment, the Specialist is committed to providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that every community member receives the highest level of care.

Primary Functions:
Fresh Start Laundromat Sort, wash, dry, and fold clothing and other textile items. Remove stains using appropriate procedures. Track and organize items to ensure proper ownership. Perform daily cash drawer balancing, weekly store collections, and reconciliation reports. Assist patrons in connecting with the Huebsch application for streamlined usage and service. Maintain an updated inventory of laundry detergents and supplies. Track and schedule maintenance or repairs for laundering equipment. Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well-lit at all times. Proactively address customers' inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Keep sufficient tokens or change available for washing and drying machines as needed. DTF Apparel Printing Support daily DTF (Direct-to-Film) printing operations, including preparing and loading materials. Perform heat-press application of printed transfers onto garments accurately and efficiently. Stay informed on current apparel and design trends to help inspire product ideas. Assist with taking customer orders, processing payments, and confirming order details. Help create and edit digital designs using Canva and other tools as directed. Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies are running low. Inspect printed items for quality, alignment, and accuracy before packaging. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety procedures. Package and prepare finished products for delivery or pickup. Work collaboratively with team members to support overall production goals. FRESH Floral Maintain cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, dusting, restroom cleaning, and washing vases. Monitor and ensure workspace, storage, and customer areas remain tidy and presentable. Trim stems, change water, and condition flowers to maintain freshness and longevity. Rotate stock to minimize waste while keeping displays vibrant and appealing. Compile and manage a weekly waste list. Assist in processing floral deliveries, inspecting quality and freshness. Organize, label, and store inventory for efficient access. Greet and assist customers with inquiries and purchases while providing excellent service. Handle transactions and process payments accurately. Create and maintain visually appealing shop displays, updating them seasonally or for special promotions. Assist florists with large arrangements or event preparation as needed. Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and quality control. Support delivery and event setup tasks. Handle basic administrative tasks, such as answering phones and taking orders. Intake Welcome and assist community members, board members, and guests with exceptional guest services. This includes answering telephone calls, taking messages, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel. Guide community members to the relevant division to access services, ensuring a seamless, one-stop experience. Review intake paperwork for accuracy and completeness, facilitating community members' access to services. Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring the privacy of community members. Provide operational support to divisions as needed. Input data accurately into the database. Actively promote all services offered by the Heart Ministry Center. Food Distribution Maintains and grows relationships with vendors and stores. Responsible for properly storing food products in a safe and secure manner consistent with best practices and safety regulations. Maintains a vehicle log for routes, mileage, vehicle maintenance and upkeep, and light upkeep of grounds as needed. Receives, counts, and records stock items regularly using computer software. Assist in the distribution area as needed. May act as a lead for food distribution operations. Be a positive role model by maintaining the highest level of professional and ethical behavior throughout your interactions with both internal and external customers. Clean Team Perform detailed cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing waste. Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming. Refill all restroom dispensers and stalls. Clean and sanitize all toilets, sinks, chairs, tables, and benches. Gather and empty trash from all locations. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any need for repairs or replacements. Follow all health and safety regulations. Communicate with team members and supervisors about any issues or additional cleaning needs. Assist with special projects or events as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous. Proficiency in cash handling and drawer reconciliation. Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment. Basic computer and tablet skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a desk or on a computer Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as required.
