Facilities Director Position Summary The Assistant Facilities Director supports the overall management, maintenance, and operation of school facilities. This role assists in ensuring buildings, grounds, and systems are safe, functional, and compliant with all regulations. The position works closely with the Facilities Director to oversee staff, vendors, budgets, and capital projects. Position is scheduled 2pm - 10:30pm. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing daily facilities operations, including maintenance and custodial services Supervise and support facilities staff, contractors, and vendors Help develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards Support budgeting, cost control, and procurement of supplies and services Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects Respond to facility-related emergencies and after-hours issues as needed Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for inspections and work orders Assist in space planning and facility optimization efforts Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred 3�5+ years of experience in facilities management or building operations Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) Experience supervising staff and managing vendors Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
