DESCRIPTION
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing plant engineering, maintenance, and overall facility operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance. This role manages building systems, capital equipment, utilities, and grounds while leading environmental, health, and safety programs in alignment with federal and state regulations, OSHA standards, and
AS9100/ISO
requirements. The Facilities Manager also coordinates inspections and audits, manages vendor relationships and budgets, and supports production needs through equipment maintenance and modifications. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Overseeing plant engineering and maintenance of the facility and all physical assets Managing utilities and recommending improvements to maintain operational efficiency Supervising upkeep of building, grounds, and capital equipment Administering hazardous waste programs and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and OSHA regulations Executing and maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS) in alignment with AS9100 and
ISO 14000
standards Developing and managing inspection schedules, logs, and compliance documentation Conducting audits, pre-audits, and facility inspections Coordinating with department leaders to support operational and compliance needs Managing plant engineering projects, including modifying equipment for production requirements Selecting, approving, and overseeing outside contractors and vendor work Managing and maintaining the facilities and maintenance budget Performing additional duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent manufacturing experience 6+ years of experience in a related manufacturing or facilities environment Hands-on experience with HVAC, boiler systems, electrical, plumbing, and welding Experience operating or supporting elevators and forklifts Knowledge of
ISO 14001
Environmental Management Systems Strong understanding of OSHA, environmental compliance, and safety standards Familiarity with AS9100 and
ISO 14000
standards (preferred) Experience coordinating EMS and environmental compliance programs (preferred) Budget management experience (preferred) Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of an organization Solid computer skills; MRP experience is a plus
