Fleet & Facility Coordinator (NMDOJ #10106762) State of New Mexico - 3.4 Albuquerque, NM Job Details Full-time $24.16 - $36.24 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Posting Details Under the leadership of Attorney General Raúl Torrez, the New Mexico Department of Justice (NMDOJ) serves as the chief legal authority for the state of New Mexico. The NMDOJ works to ensure that the rule of law is upheld, and the rights of all citizens are protected. Interviews are anticipated to be conducted within two (2) weeks of the closing date. As a valued New Mexico Department of Justice employee, you will receive a hiring bonus of forty (40) hours of leave at your start date to be used at any time. This is in addition to standard leave accrual for employees. Why does the job exist? This position exists to support the Support Services Manager and assists the senior program coordinator in Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Oversight, maintenance, and compliance of all aspects of the New Mexico Department of Justice's fleet and facilities. The role ensures vehicles and office spaces are properly maintained, administrative and financial records are accurate, and all operational, safety, and regulatory requirements are met, allowing the department to function efficiently and effectively. How does it get done? Fleet Management -Assists in overseeing NMDOJ's fleet operations, including the staff vehicle reservation system, routine maintenance, mileage tracking, fuel card usage, registration, and emissions compliance. Supports staff with Defensive Driving Certificates (DDCs), day-to-day vehicle assignments, and parking pass administration. Maintains and updates fleet tracking systems to ensure accurate, timely reporting of all fleet-related activity. Facility Management -Supports the upkeep and safety of all NMDOJ facilities, including inspections, coordination of work orders with GSD Facility Management Division and commercial lessors, recycling, and identification of potential safety hazards. Assists with office and furniture relocations across locations and tracks surplus furniture for proper disposal. Manages inventory and ordering of office supplies, ensuring timely delivery to requesting staff. Provides general operational support to maintain efficient daily office functions across all NMDOJ locations. This position is mobile and flexible, able to travel between offices as needed to provide timely, hands-on support. Who are the customers? New Mexico Attorney General staff and divisions. Ideal Candidate New Mexico Attorney General staff and divisions. Minimum Qualification Associate's Degree and two (2) years of experience program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Any combination of education and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements Candidate must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and current Defensive Driving Course Certification from the State of New Mexico; or must obtain a Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of hire as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to visual/video display terminals (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage, including extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Limited in-state travel to Santa Fe and Las Cruces may be required on occasion. The person in this position is expected to hold a valid driver's license and be able to lawfully operate a state-owned motor vehicle when necessary.
