Help New Mexico (HELPNM) was created in 1965 by the interdenominational New Mexico Council of Churches to support education in their community. Today, their legacy and impact carry on through HELPNM's work as a fully-owned subsidiary of CPLC. The Office of Learning and Academic Opportunity (OLAO) provides services to children and families from birth to eight years of age. Our priority is to provide general services related to families in the areas of education, health and social/behavioral development. OLAO also provides an intentional, coordinated approach to strengthening the family unit and combines programming for children and adults in order to build strong and stable families.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all the child development centers, maintaining at all times a safe and aesthetic environment indoors and outdoors. You will use a work order system to ensure the timeliness and prioritization of all facility needs. All if your activities and interactions will be in conformance with all federal, state, and local regulations, standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
SPECIALIZATIONS
This position is non-exempt under the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to the Agency's policies and procedures pertaining to overtime hours and premium pay.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education/Background:
High School or GED Minimum of 1-2-years' experience within the area of building maintenance and grounds care First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain within the first 6-months of employment is required. Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is preferred TB test or Chest X-ray

Background Clearance This position requires driving on behalf of the company. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license, meet the company's motor vehicle record (MVR) standards, meets company's insurance eligibility, and comply with all state and federal driving requirements.
