Why This Role Matters We are seeking a Facilities Specialist who takes pride in creating safe, functional and exceptionally maintained environments that directly support the guest experience and day-to-day operations of the property. This role is critical to preserving the overall appearance, efficiency and reliability of the hotel while ensuring guests and team members can enjoy a seamless and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-focused and motivated by maintaining high operational standards behind the scenes. From responding to maintenance needs to supporting preventative care across the property, the Facilities Specialist plays an essential role in protecting the integrity of the guest experience while contributing to a culture of teamwork, responsiveness and operational excellence. The Facilities Specialist operates with a high level of independence, technical capability and attention to detail while contributing to a safe, welcoming and exceptionally maintained environment for guests, employees and visitors. What You'll Do Work independently and alongside Facilities leadership to support daily maintenance operations across the property. Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner while prioritizing operational needs. Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs involving building systems, equipment and facility infrastructure. Complete preventative maintenance tasks in alignment with property standards and operational schedules. Inspect buildings, grounds, guest areas and equipment to identify maintenance concerns, safety hazards or operational deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action. Perform skilled maintenance work including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, carpentry, tile, flooring, appliance and fixture repair. Support maintenance and operational readiness of pools, spas and hot tubs in accordance with safety and operational guidelines. Repair and maintain structural elements and facility components including walls, ceilings, flooring, doors, locks, drains, windows and exterior areas. Assist with minor installations, equipment replacements and facility improvement projects as assigned. Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, parts inventory and workspaces in a clean, organized and safe condition. Support emergency maintenance situations and urgent operational needs as required. Maintain a professional, service-oriented demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, vendors and leadership. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, safety requirements and applicable regulations. Other duties as assigned are consistent with the functions of this position as needed at any of the properties. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required. Strong working knowledge of general maintenance practices, building systems and preventative maintenance procedures. Advanced troubleshooting and repair abilities across multiple maintenance disciplines. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence and safety. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing operational needs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in time-sensitive situations. Hospitality, resort or multi-property maintenance experience preferred. 2+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction or related experience preferred. Valid and unrestricted driver's license required and must maintain company group insurance eligibility. Specialty facility, maintenance, or related licensing or certification required. Ability to frequently walk stand climb lift stoop push pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Flexible scheduling required including long hours nights weekends and holidays.
