Job Description

Overview The Center for Contemporary Arts (CCA) celebrates artists, filmmakers, and performers who shape how we see and experience the world. Through exhibitions, cinema, and live performance, CCA creates space for reflection, connection and education. More than 40 years ago, the Center for Contemporary Arts of Santa Fe (CCA) was founded as a grassroots organization with a vision to enhance our cultural landscape and better the lives of our neighbors in Santa Fe. That vision continues to thrive today, and we embrace all the ways this mission continues to inform and grow our contribution to the vibrant cultural landscape of our unique community. The position of CCA Facilities Manager will include the following job responsibilities and report directly to the
Executive Director:
Facilities Management
  • Routinely monitor the property and advise on any maintenance required, damage needing repair, safety issues, building security issues, emergency prep issues or other conditions of the property that warrant attention. This includes but is not limited to HVAC, lighting, plumbing, building hardware, alarm systems, life and fire safety equipment, signage
  • Maintain and follow the facilities maintenance calendar for all CCA facility equipment and systems
  • Routine miscellaneous repairs and upkeep as needed.
  • For larger, more complex projects. manager will get approval from CCA management, solicit bids for work, negotiate agreement and manage the repairs/work
  • Plan to closely manage work done for CCA and obtain/submit a signed work order or invoice upon completion of the contract for payment
  • Maintain and expand list of service providers for maintenance, repairs and inspections as needed.
  • Along with other CCA staff members, strive to maintain CCA's primary public venues including the exterior grounds, the main Cinematheque and Studio theaters as well as the preparation areas and gallery spaces of the Munoz-Waxman.
  • Document best practices for ongoing operations
  • Secure, organize and maintain all CCA tools, paint, repair supplies, event support materials (tables, chairs, etc.) & equipment
  • Basic administrative tasks such as keeping up with email, expense tracking, and other communication
  • Monitoring and assisting with preparation of budgets and workflow charts for specific projects
  • On occasion, assist the CCA staff in preparations for CCA sponsored special events as well as approved rentals of the facility. Desired Experience/Skills
  • Pro-active self-starter
  • Ability to provide skill and judgment to perform the work in a professional manner
  • Experience in basic technical procedures around HVAC, lighting, plumbing, building hardware, alarm systems, life and fire safety equipment and signage
  • Experience in recruiting and managing vendors
  • Organizational skills
  • Fostering a collaborative, respectful environment with all staff/board, skilled laborers, visiting artists/partners and other departments
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all key stakeholders
  • Experience working in a non-profit and or state-owned property is preferred

From $40.00 per hour
