About Us Real World Canine is rapidly growing and expanding our services to create the ultimate environment for dogs to thrive. We are guided by the Five Freedoms of Animal Welfare, ensuring dogs are free from hunger, discomfort, pain, fear, and have the ability to express natural behaviors. From day camp and boarding to training, we provide enrichment, therapy, and expert care to improve each dog's confidence, health, and happiness. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Facility Manager to take full ownership of our physical facility. This role combines day-to-day maintenance responsibilities with oversight of larger construction and improvement projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing repairs independently while also managing contractors for more complex work. Key Responsibilities Oversee the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the facility Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations across building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.) Troubleshoot issues and complete hands-on repair work as needed Plan, coordinate, and supervise facility upgrades and improvement projects Manage external contractors, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory of maintenance supplies Establish and follow preventative maintenance schedules Project Leadership A major component of this role will involve supporting upcoming expansion projects, including the construction of a new pool and a building surrounding it.
The Facility Manager will:
Oversee and coordinate contractors and vendors throughout the build process Monitor project timelines, budgets, and workmanship Contribute hands-on to select installation and finishing tasks where appropriate Ensure all work aligns with long-term maintenance and operational needs Qualifications Proven experience in facility management, construction, or skilled trades Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems Ability to independently perform repairs and installations Experience supervising contractors and managing projects Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus Schedule Work hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysWhat We Offer Salary:
