No Location CountyAlbany Street AddressEmpire State Plaza CityAlbany StateNY Zip Code12242 Job Specifics Duties DescriptionThe incumbent will perform a variety of moderately complex duties involved in the operation and maintenance of a site-specific facility. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Assist with maintaining the orderly storage, care, and inventory of various facility materials.
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility's interior, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows and mirrors. Cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and fixtures
  • Assist with purchasing and retrieving purchases.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and appliances.
  • Assist in preparation for professional functions or other events.
  • Interact with colleagues, customers, and other individuals in a courteous, positive, and professional manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of small, medium, or large-scale executive level functions, banquets, and receptions.
  • Maintain a professional work demeanor under demanding conditions and changing deadlines.
  • Perform tasks in an efficient, timely, and safe manner.
  • Carry, move and lift bulky items.
  • Perform other support of operations duties as assigned.
Operational Needs:
  • Ability to bend, lift, climb, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with on-call capacity to cover special events.
Minimum QualificationsFour years of specialized experience in food service, hospitality, housekeeping, grounds, or a related field.
