Job Summary The Facilities Assistant ensures the smooth, efficient operation of our resort property, supporting maintenance, engineering and preventative upkeep throughout the grounds and facilities. Working independently and collaboratively, this role helps maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of the property through routine upkeep, repairs, and special projects. By meticulously maintaining and restoring every space, the Facilities Assistant works behind the scenes to ensure each area reflects Mirbeau's commitment to excellence and enhances the guest experience. Pay Rate:
$22.00•$24.00 per hour Responsibilities General Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine inspections and maintenance of guest rooms, meeting rooms, office areas, F&B areas, spa facilities, and outdoor spaces Assist with repairs of heating/cooling systems, laundry, kitchen equipment, and small tools or equipment (ie: vacuum cleaners, minor HVAC repairs) Support construction and improvement projects under the guidance of the Director of Facilities Maintain locks, keys, and security equipment in proper working order Assist with pest control and insect management programs Support preventative maintenance programs to ensure longevity of equipment and facilities Ensure proper operation of emergency lighting, exit lights, and other safety systems Perform duties as instructed in case of an emergency Report any unusual conditions or situations that may endanger mechanical functions or operations Grounds & Exterior Maintenance Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of grounds, outdoor furniture, storage areas, and equipment rooms Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, salting, sanding, landscaping, and general outdoor upkeep•where applicable Maintain koi ponds and surrounding grounds•where applicable Monitor and conserve energy usage throughout the resort Technology & Systems Support Maintain and monitor computer systems, networks, POS stations, phones, music systems, and other technology-related equipment Act as a support and advisor for all new software and system updates Guest Service & Communication Respond promptly and professionally to guest or staff service requests Handle immediate guest problems with urgency and discretion Check emails, mailbox, and communicate with departments regarding work requests Maintain spare parts inventory for guest rooms and other areas Keep daily logs and reports as directed by the Director of Facilities Quality Standards Ensure that all work meets or exceeds Mirbeau's standards of cleanliness, refinement and comfort Take full responsibility for the quality of work performed in assigned areas Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment Ensure compliance with all City, State, and Federal laws and ordinances Make recommendations to improve departmental operations and workflow Professionalism Report to work on time in a clean uniform with name tag Attend all scheduled meetings as required by the resort Maintain professionalism and uphold the standards of excellence expected in a luxury spa resort environment Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements Experience & Education Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role is required Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs safely and consistently Must be in good physical health, with the stamina required for active duties of the role Technical Skills General knowledge of construction procedures, operating equipment, and equipment installation Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems, with a willingness to learn HVAC and other unfamiliar systems Ability to follow plans and instructions while contributing to projects from conception to completion Personal Attributes Exceptional attention to detail and high personal standards for cleanliness, order, and presentation Organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage time and tasks efficiently, independently Adaptable and proactive, with the ability to pivot between duties and assist in various areas as needed Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely and learn new tasks quickly Additional Requirements Must have a valid
