Job Description

onsemi is seeking a Gas Facilities Technician in our Hopewell Junction, EFK, NY. As a Gas Facilities Technician, tasks will include, but are not limited to, the continuous operation and maintenance of the following systems: Inert gas farms, specialty gas delivery systems, bulk gas delivery systems, gas plumbing, and other auxiliary equipment and controllers that support gas chemistry delivery to fab manufacturing. This technician will be responsible for proper system operation, routine cylinder changes, preventive and corrective maintenance, and responding to and troubleshooting system alarms and controls. Primary work activities will be supporting daily operations through cylinder changes and equipment maintenance. Technicians must be able to work in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills and schedule flexibility are important, as weekend coverage will be required. Shift:
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, e/o Saturday 6:30 pm - 7:00 am
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical trade school or related certification preferred. 2+ years of experience in gas operations, utilities, industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or related fields. Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift (preventive maintenance) and/or to address process issues; able to perform maintenance activities; and work in a standing position for the majority of a 12-hour shift (excluding breaks).
Hourly:
onsemi is excited to share the base salary range for this position is $21.20 to $36.92 exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The final pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, education, experience, and/or consideration of internal equity of our current team members. We also offer a competitive benefits package.

Essential Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance activities and visual inspection tours, documenting performance metrics on state-of-the-art 300mm semiconductor equipment. React to error messages on building and site systems and/or equipment, and recover from process and tool interruptions. The ability to operate and provide Reliability-Centered Maintenance to a wide variety of mechanical and environmental systems and equipment. Utilize computers to document and communicate system status for all site operational systems, including shift logs, to collaborate across all shifts. Familiarity with and utilization of LEAN tools to ensure continuous improvement and cost reduction. Interact with customers such as Engineering, Maintenance, and Manufacturing. Work in noisy areas, and the ability to handle chemicals / chemical handling equipment safely is required. Working outside in all seasons, part of the time. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. Strong team member, able to work well with global teams and new team members as needed based on assignment, while prioritizing and handling multiple tasks simultaneously effectively. Able to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure appropriate computing and analysis of statistical data: Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures, and read facility building and subsystem prints to complete tasks and required documentation. Effectively demonstrate strong work performance in an environment that requires a high level of attention to detail and timeliness. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, in support of all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
