A Facilities Specialist or Coordinator is in charge of building and equipment maintenance, building security systems, emergency plans, often for specific buildings only. May be involved in planning of new facilities. Acts as contact person between employees and outside contractors.
This position will be primarily responsible for providing operational assistance to the athletic department and the field house complex. This will include athletic facility scheduling, working with outside groups on permit and rental processes, serving as a point of contact for large-scale campus events, managing ticketing for athletic events, supervising student workers, and assisting the Assistant AD for Athletic Facilities with the operational needs of the Field House/Ice Arena complex. This position has a 12-month obligation with evenings and weekend requirements. Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Athletic Communications will assist the Director of Athletic Communications with coverage of the Cardinals' 18 NCAA Division III athletic teams which compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC). The individual in this position will serve as the primary media contact for a number of teams. In addition to assisting with the day-to-day operations of the athletics communications office, this individual will be responsible for in-depth website management, which includes but is not limited to: feature stories, event recaps, scores, statistics, team rosters, schedules and team histories. Additionally, the candidate will also assist with planning and overseeing special events such as the Hall of Fame ceremony, the spring student-athletes ceremony, etc. Responsibilities in game management will include press box management, assigning and supervising staff to assist with in-game responsibilities (scoreboard, public address, statistics, etc.), in-game updating of social media platforms and score reporting.
