Hawthorn Grove Childcare is excited to be expanding our program to an infant-only location in Bay Village, OH! This location will serve our Seeds classrooms which grow up to 12 months, into our Sprouts classrooms that grows from 12 to 20 months. Come join our family and be a part of a growing company! There will be multiple opportunities (assistant teacher, float teacher, substitute teacher) in this building so please specify which position your skill set would best lend itself to.

Some of the responsibilities include:

Keep children engaged if they are not involved in the curriculum activity Assist lead teacher with activities/behavior Assist staff with both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. Prepare and help clean up from snacks Prepare any activities for later in the week (i.e. cutting things out, laminating, copying, etc) Maintain confidentiality Assist with diapering Fill in for a staff member when they may need to step out of a classroom for any reason (meetings, speaking to parents, working with children, etc) Maintain daily open communication with parents Maintain a safe and healthy environment Attend inservice and staff meetings Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets. Meet all applicable licensing regulations

Qualifications:

Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields Passionate about working with children Ability to build rapport with children Positive and patient demeanor Excellent written and verbal communication skills
